Wiregrass Hope Group is excited to host our inaugural Walk for Life on Saturday, May 4, at Dothan Preparatory’s track and field! Join us as we come together as a community to honor and celebrate LIFE. This event is free for everyone, so grab your friends and family and walk for LIFE with Wiregrass Hope Group!

This walk is not an athletic event. Whether you join us for one lap around the track or 10 laps, we welcome everyone! This event is a fun, easy way for your family to make a difference for life! By participating in this event you are helping us shine a light on the services we offer to families in the Wiregrass.

The event will kick off at 9 AM and conclude at 11 AM. Walk at your own pace and the distance of your choosing around the track! Bring the entire family and lace up the kids’ tennis shoes for our 100-meter kid’s dash that will take place at 10:15 AM. The top 3 winners will receive a fun prize! After the kid’s race, stick around for our pastor dash! Local pastors will race to the finish line with the winner taking home a “date night” prize package! Encourage your pastor to come participate and bring your church family to cheer them on!

We want this event to be fun for the entire family, so bring your kids along to enjoy our “kids zone” play area! Inflatables, yard games, and face painting will be available at no cost to you.

What is the Walk for Life?

Walk for Life is a NEW community event hosted by Wiregrass Hope Group. We invite family and friends to join us on Saturday, May 4, at Dothan Preparatory’s track and field for a family-friendly walk as we honor and celebrate life and the work of Wiregrass Hope Group. There is no financial obligation to participate, though there will be opportunities for donations that will benefit our center as we equip men and women to make decisions for life.

How do I participate?

Participating in the Walk for Life is easy! Simply register all those participating online and show up on the day of the walk! Participation is free so bring the entire family with you!

Do I have to register online to participate?

We encourage online registration, but it is not required. You are welcome to show up on walk day and participate!

How long is the walk?

There is no required distance to walk for the Walk for Life. The track is a 400-meter loop and you are welcome to walk for as long and for as far as you would like during the event. This is not an athletic event and we welcome people of all ages and all activity levels to join us!

Are t-shirts available?

Yes! T-shirts are available at an encouraged donation of $20. T-shirts are available through our registration link.

Can we participate as a team?

Yes! We would love to see your church, school, or business participate as a team. Team participants can register online prior to the event. On the day of the walk, team participants must stop by the registration table to let us know which team they are walking with. The school, church, and business team with the most members present will receive a prize!
